About Cynthia Kay

Creative and dynamic professional. Established and respected businesswoman. These qualities have helped make Cynthia Kay a well-known leader in media production and corporate communications. As a professional broadcaster, Kay did it all; from anchoring, producing, directing and hosting specialty programming to investigative reporting, documentaries and features.  In the process, she was honored with over 30 awards from United Press International, the Associated Press and numerous regional and local broadcast awards.


A graduate of Michigan State University, Kay holds a masters degree in communications from Western Michigan University. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Grand Valley State University, teaching communications, and as President of the West Michigan Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators and American Women in Radio and TV.  She is the Past President of the West Michigan Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
In 2005, she was honored as the Top Woman-Owned Business in her category by the Grand Rapids Business Journal and the company was named “Small Business of the Year” by the Grand Rapids Area of Chamber of Commerce. The company was once again honored in 2009 and 2011 as a Top Woman Owned Business.


In 2006, 2008 and 2010 Cynthia was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan and the company was twice named one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies.


Cynthia is the Immediate Past Board Chair of the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) which represents over 10,000 small businesses. She also serves on the Board of the Cascade Community Foundation, a part of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation.


Her media company was formed in 1984 and incorporated in September of 1987 in the State of Michigan. Its clients include Fortune 100 companies, small businesses and non-profits.
